Women’s Soccer Loses 2-1 To St. Thomas in Double Overtime

The Gustavus women's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to St. Thomas in double overtime on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Tommies' Erin Sprangers scored the game-winner with :10 left in the second overtime with a hard drive into the left corner of the net from about eight yards out. The Gustavus goal was scored by Amy Kunkel in the 62nd minute. The Gusties end their season at 8-10-0 overall and 3-8-0 in the MIAC.

Women’s Soccer Falls to Macalester 2-1

The Gustavus women's soccer team saw its record fall to 3-7-0 on the season with a 2-1 loss at Macalester on Wednesday night. The Scots controlled play for much of the match outshooting the Gusties 20-2 and holding a 7-1 advantage on corner kicks. Becca Hagen scored the lone goal for Gustavus with 5:20 remaining in the game. The Gusties close out their season with a home match against St. Thomas on Saturday at 1:00 pm.

Women’s Soccer Loses 2-0 at UW-La Crosse

The Gustavus women's soccer team allowed two first half goals and suffered its third consecutive shutout losing to UW-La Crosse 2-0 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The Gusties are now 7-8-0 overall on the season.

Women’s Soccer Shutout by Bethel 2-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team continued to struggle to score goals falling 2-0 to Bethel at Gustavus on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties controlled play for much of the game out-shooting the Royals 16-11, while holding an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks, however Bethel scored twice in a three-minute span late in the first half and claimed the 2-0 victory.

Women’s Soccer Edged by Augsburg 1-0 in Minneapolis

The Gustavus women's soccer team saw its two-game win streak come to an end with a 1-0 loss at Augsburg on Tuesday night. The Gusties, who had scored nine goals in their last two games, were shut out by Augsburg goaltender Maggie DeGroot. The Auggies scored the lone goal of the game in the 18th minute. Gustavus is now 2-5-0 in MIAC play and four of those losses are by one goal.

Women’s Soccer Claims 4-2 Win at Hamline

The Gustavus women's soccer team jumped out to a 4-0 lead and then held on for a 4-2 victory at Hamline on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties were led by Christy Tupy who scored the first and fourth goals. Jenna Iaizzo and Chelsea Craven scored one goal each and Ashley Ohlson picked up the win in the nets for Gustavus.

Women’s Soccer Rolls to 5-0 Win Over Buena Vista

The Gustavus women's soccer team improved its record to 6-5-0 on the season with an impressive 5-0 win over Buena Vista University at the Gustavus Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon. Five different players scored for Gustavus including Jenna Iaizzo, Kristy Tupy, Julien Babel, Ashley Anderson, and Amy Kunkel. Ashley Ohlson and Chelsea Bayer shared the shutout in goal for the Gusties.

Women’s Soccer Team Loses to Carleton 2-1

The Gustavus women's soccer team suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss to Carleton on the Gustavus Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon. The Knights scored one goal in the first half and one in the second half to build a 2-0 lead, before the Gusties cut the lead to 2-1 on a goal by Ashley Anderson in the 84th minute. Gustavus pressured the Knights late in the match to try and tie the score but could score the equalizer.

Women’s Soccer Rallies to Defeat Saint Mary’s 2-1

The Gustavus women's soccer team scored two goals in the second half including the game-winning goal by Ashley Voigtlander in the 82nd minute and held on for a 2-1 win over St. Mary's at the Gustavus Soccer Field on Wednesday afternoon. The Gusties improve to 5-4-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the MIAC.

Women’s Soccer Team Falls to St. Benedict 1-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team fell to 4-4 overall and 0-3 in the MIAC with a 1-0 loss to the College of St. Benedict on Saturday afternoon. The Blazers got a goal from Allyson Draxler in the 15th minute of the match and that was all they would need to slip past the Gusties. Goalkeeper Chelsea Bayer made 11 saves for Gustavus.
