Jeffrey Dubose Named MIAC Offensive Player Of The Week

Gustavus Adolphus freshman running back Jeffrey Dubose has been named MIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Gustavus’s 42-14 win over Hamline on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Dubose carried the ball 21 times for a season-high 202 yards (9.6 avg.) and one touchdown.

Schenfeld Named MIAC Golfer Of The Week

Gustavus Adolphus women's golfer Katie Schenfeld has earned MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week honors for her first place performance at the 2010 MIAC Championships held Oct. 1-3 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn.

Gustavus Adolpus senior linebacker Jade Kotila (Maple Lake, Minn.) was named MIAC Football Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Gustavus's 29-0 victory over Northwestern last Saturday.

Matt Lopes Named MIAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College senior goaltender Matt Lopes (East Falmouth, Mass./Bishop Stang) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending March 15, 2009. Lopes made 17 saves in the Gusties' 5-2 win over Hamline in the MIAC Playoff Championship game last Wednesday in St. Peter.

Ross Ring-Jarvi Named MIAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College first-year forward Ross Ring-Jarvi (Anoka, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending December 15, 2008. Ring-Jarvi tallied three points on one goal and two assists in the Gusties' 6-3 win over No. 13 UW-Stevens Point on Saturday in Stevens Point, Wis.

Linebacker Tony Palma Named MIAC Defensive Player of the Week

Gustavus junior linebacker Tony Palma (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) has been named MIAC Defensive Player of the Week for his play against Bethel University last Saturday. Palma played a key role in the Gusties' defensive effort in a 17-10 win over the Royals in Arden Hills, Minn. as he tallied 12 tackles with six solo stops and an interception. His interception sealed the victory as he picked off a pass at the Gustavus seven-yard line with 00:48 remaining as Bethel threatened to tie the game.

Running Back Ray Wilson Named MIAC Offensive Player of the Week

Gustavus senior running back Ray (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Totino Grace) has been named MIAC Offensive Player of the Week for his play against Augsburg College last Saturday. Wilson set a school single-game rushing record with 258 yards on 28 carries in a 34-31 victory over the Auggies in St. Peter.

Becker and Berglund Named MIAC Football Players of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus junior quarterback Jordan Becker (Easton, Minn./Blue Earth Area) and senior defensive lineman Brian Berglund (Lauderdale, Minn./Roseville Area) have been named MIAC Football Players of the Week for their roles in a 30-29 overtime win over Carleton College last Saturday. Becker was named MIAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Berglund was named MIAC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Linebacker Paul Stommes Named MIAC Defensive Player of the Week

Gustavus sophomore linebacker Paul Stommes (Richmond, Minn./Eden Valley-Watkins) has been named MIAC Defensive Player of the Week for his play against Coe College last Saturday. Stommes played a key role in the Gusties' defensive effort in a 27-19 win over the Kohawks in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as he tallied 15 tackles with seven solo stops and an interception.

Mahre Named MIAC Softball Player of the Week

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced on Monday that Julie Mahre has been named the MIAC Player of the Week for softball. Mahre provided a spark at the top of the Gustavus batting order as the Gusties were 6-0 last week at the Tucson Invitational with wins over Kalamazoo College, the University of Chicago, Lawrence University, and Luther College.
