RAMSEY, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s golf team had a solid day two performance with a team score of 297 to put them in fifth place at the Twin Cities Classic. After two days, the Gusties trail the leader, Saint Johns, by 26.

Ben Hauge (Jr., Ramsey, Minn.) posted the low score for the Gusties, as well as a tie for the overall low score on day two with a 71. Jacob Pederson (Fy., Minnetonka, Minn.) had another very solid day for the Gusties, by shooting a 73 which pushed him up to sixth place overall in the meet. The pair of Max Savini (Sr., Ramsey, Minn.) and Max Ullan (So., Blaine, Minn.) rounded out the Gusties top four both shooting scores of 74.

On the results coach Scott Moe said, “We had a better overall effort from our guys today. I liked to see that we had very nice scores from Ben, Jacob, and both Max’s. We took advantage of some holes that were down wind and were able to make birdies, and battled through the traps on the course as well. I’m really looking forward to the awesome golf course tomorrow at the Edina Country Club.”

The Gusties will finish the final day of play in Edina tomorrow afternoon.
