178 Gusties Named Winter/Spring Sport MIAC Academic All-Conference

he Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Academic All-Conference selections for the 2022-23 winter and spring seasons and 178 Gustavus student-athletes received distinction.

10 Gusties Selected CSC Academic All-District

The 2022-23 Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA), were released Tuesday and 10 Gustavus student-athletes received recognition for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom.

Wasko Earns PING All-Region Recognition

The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced its NCAA Division III PING All-Region honorees, and Wyatt Wasko earned his second-straight All-Region 6 honor. 

Gutuza Headlines Men’s Golf Awards as Rookie of the Year

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its men’s golf awards on Monday and the Gusties placed four on the All-Conference list, highlighted by first-year Chris Gutuza, who was named MIAC Rookie of the Year. Wyatt Wasko, Teddy Kaste, and Sam Skaar also earned the All-Conference nod.

Men’s Golf Finishes Eighth at Saint John’s Invite

The Gustavus men's golf team fielded three teams at the Saint John's Invitational to close out the spring season, finishing eighth, 13th, and 16th of 18 teams at the invite. The Gusties A team posted a 306-310-616 to finish eighth, while the Gusties B team carded a 308-320-628 to finish 13th. The final team for the Gusties finished 333-330-663.

Men’s Golf Tied for Eighth at Saint John’s Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team is tied for eighth after round one at the Saint John's Invitational. The Gusties shot a 306 (+18) and are 16 strokes behind leader and host Saint John's. The Gusties have three teams in competition, with the second team sitting in 10th (308) and the final team of Gusties in 16th (333).

Men’s Golf Defeats No. 14 Saint John’s in Dual Meet

The Gustavus men's golf team won a MIAC dual meet against nationally-ranked No. 14 Saint John's on Thursday at Pioneer Creek Golf Course. The Gusties shot one-over par 289, edging the Johnnies by one stroke.

Men’s Golf Takes Fourth at Bobby Krig Invite

The Gustavus men’s golf team had three teams competing at the Bobby Krig Invite over the weekend, with the Gustavus A team dropping two spots in round two to finish fourth at 297-308-605 (+41). The Gusties B team moved up one for seventh (309-307-616), and the third and final team held at 15th with a mark of 321-329-650. UW-Eau Claire placed first at 296-297-593 (+29).

Men’s Golf Tied for Second After Day One of Bobby Krig Invite

The Gustavus men's golf team sits tied for second after one round at the Bobby Krig Invite. With three teams in play, Gustavus A sits tied for second with Saint John's, with both teams just one stroke off leader UW-Eau Claire at 297 (+13). The Gusties B team posted a 309 (+25) for eighth, while the third Gustie team sits in 15th after carding a 321 (+37). 

Men’s Golf Opens Spring Season at Illinois Wesleyan Invite

The Gustavus men's golf team fielded three teams at the Illinois Wesleyan Invite to open the spring season, finishing 12th, 14th, and 36th of 37 teams at the invite. The Gusties A team posted a two-round score of 310-305-615 to tie for 12th, while the Gusties B team carded a 314-302-616 for a tie at 14th. The final team for the Gusties finished 341-339-680.
