The Gustavus women’s golf team finished first at the St. Thomas Invitational on Sunday with an 18-hole total of 320.  Individually, Katie Schenfeld finished first with a four-over par total of 76 and Taylor Drenttel finished second with a total of 77. The eight-team tournament was originally scheduled to be a 36-hole event, however cold and snowy weather on Saturday caused the tournament to be shortened to one 18-hole round on Sunday.  The Gusties finished 11 strokes ahead of second place St. Olaf, which posted a score of 331.

The five players contributing to the team score on Sunday for Gustavus included Kate Schenfeld (1st, 76), Taylor Drenttel (2nd, 77), Rikka Holiday (8th, 83), Kayleigh Dittes (9th, 84), and Ann Jackson (11th, 86).  Two Gustavus players competed individually in the event and they were Nicole Tetrault (16th, 88) and Jessica Skaare (30th, 101).

The Gusties will take part in the Carleton Invitational next Friday and Saturday in Northfield.
