Men’s Golf Sits In Second Place After Solid First Day at Bobby Krig Invite Posted on April 17th, 2011 by

The Gustavus men’s golf team fired a first round team total of 298 and is in a second place tie with UW-Eau Claire, just one stroke back of first place St. Olaf, which posted a score of 297.  The 16-team Bobby Krig Invitational is being hosted by Gustavus with the first 18 holes being played on Sunday at the Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan and the final 36 holes being played at Le Sueur Country Club on Monday.  Monday’s round, which was scheduled to start at 8 am, has been moved back one hour to 9 am.

The Gusties were led individually by Alex Kolquist who is in a second place tie after recording a one-under total of 71.
