Men’s Tennis Captures 31st Consecutive MIAC Title, Tops Carleton 7-2

In a matchup of previously unbeaten MIAC teams, the No. 16 Gustavus men’s tennis team beat No. 38 Carleton 7-2 Saturday at the Rochester Athletic Club. Gustavus has now clinched at least a share of its 31st consecutive MIAC championship and 53rd overall and can win the title outright with a victory tomorrow at St. Thomas.

Men’s Tennis Blanks Macalester 9-0

After nearly two weeks since competing and over a month since its last MIAC match, the No. 16 Gustavus men’s tennis team Friday shut out Macalester 9-0 at the Brown Outdoor Tennis Complex, marking the first outdoor match at home this season.

Men’s Tennis Moved to Rochester Saturday

The Gustavus men's tennis match for Saturday against Carleton has been moved from Carleton to the Rochester Athletic Club in Rochester, Minn. The match will begin at 4:15 p.m.

Men’s Tennis Wins Ranked Regional Match Against Kalamazoo

The No. 17 Gustavus men's tennis team Sunday won a ranked regional matchup 7-2 against No. 28 Kalamazoo. The Gusties went 2-1 in doubles and then captured five singles victories to secure the match and improve to 14-7 overall. 

No. 17 Men’s Tennis Blanks Luther 9-0

The No. 17 Gustavus men’s tennis team late Friday night shut out Luther 9-0 at the Swanson Tennis Center. The Gusties cruised in doubles and then won each singles matchup in straight sets to improve to 13-7 overall.

Men’s Tennis Drops a Pair in Southern California

The No. 20 Gustavus tennis team Tuesday lost a heartbreaker 5-4 at No. 22 Redlands, falling to 11-6 overall. A split squad also lost 8-1 against Hope International.

Men’s Tennis Tops Saint Mary’s, Saint John’s

The No. 15 Gustavus men’s tennis team returned to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday at the Swanson Tennis Center, defeating Saint Mary’s 8-1 before a 9-0 win over Saint John’s. The Gusties are now 11-4 overall and 6-0 in the MIAC.

Johnson Earns Second MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week

Chase Johnson (Sr., Golden Valley, Minn.) went a combined 5-1 in singles and doubles play at the highly-competitive Stag-Hen Invitational, which featured a field of eight nationally-ranked teams. For his performance, Johnson has been named MIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for the second time this season. 

Men’s Tennis Goes 1-2 at Stag-Hen Invitational

The No. 15-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team competed at the Stag-Hen Invitational on Friday and Saturday, which featured a field eight nationally ranked teams. The Gusties went 1-2 in the tournament, winning the seventh place match 8-1 over No. 31 Swarthmore on Saturday after losing to No. 12 Sewanee 5-4 and No. 26 Skidmore 6-3 on Friday.

Men’s Tennis Receives Steve Wilkinson Team Sportsmanship Award

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has awarded the Gustavus men’s tennis team with the Steve Wilkinson Team Sportsmanship Award.
