Hallin’s 2OT Score Lifts Men’s Hockey to Extra Point in MIAC Standings

The Gustavus men's hockey team tied St. Olaf Saturday night, finishing 3-3 after the first OT period. Gustavus though will get an extra point in the MIAC standings as Axel Hallin (Sr., Hovas, Sweden) found the back of the net with less than a minute remaining in the second OT period which was 3-on-3. With the result the Gusties move to 6-6-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the MIAC while the Oles are now 2-12-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the MIAC.

Men’s Hockey Erupts for 6-0 Win at St. Olaf

After a month-long break, the Gustavus men’s hockey team Friday night defeated St. Olaf 6-0 to improve to 6-6 overall and 3-2 in the MIAC, while the Oles dropped to 2-12 overall and 1-6 in the league.

The Gustavus men's hockey team will be back in action this weekend for a home-home series versus Saint Mary's. The two teams will match up Friday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink for a 7:05 contest before traveling to Winona Saturday for a 7 p.m game. The Gusties enter the contests 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the MIAC while the Cardinals are 2-4-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Goor Named MIAC Men’s Hockey Athlete of the Week

Robbie Goor (Jr., Anoka) minded the net in both games over the weekend as the Gustavus men's hockey team split a series with Augsburg. Goor is the first Gustavus men’s hockey player to earn MIAC Athlete of the Week since goalie John McLean won the weekly honor on Feb. 16, 2015.

The Gustavus men's hockey team battled back from a 1-0 deficit Saturday night to upset No. 7 Augsburg 2-1. With the win the Gusties improve to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the MIAC while the Auggies fall to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference.
