The Gustavus men’s track and field team earned 77.5 points to place fourth in the MIAC Championships Meet. Andy Klaers won the discus with a distance of 149-5. Ten Gusties earned all-conference honors by placing in the top three of their event.

Baseball Team Sweeps Carleton, Clinches Playoff Spot

The Gustavus baseball team swept Carleton 10-4, 11-2 on Saturday afternoon and clinched a spot in the MIAC playoffs which begin next Friday in Northfield. The Gusties, the #3 seed in the tourney, play Concordia next Friday at 3:00 pm.

Gustavus men’s golf coach Scott Moe has been named the MIAC Coach of the Year by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference golf coaches. This the the second consecutive year that Moe has been honored as MIAC Coach of the Year.

Top seeded Gustavus Adolphus College defeated second seeded Coe College 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Swanson Tennis Center on the Gustavus campus in St. Peter, Minn. Gustavus will advance to the NCAA Team Finals for the 11th consecutive year.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team defeated Carthage 5-2 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday in St. Peter. The Gusties will face Coe College in the second round on Sunday at noon.
