The Gustavus men’s track & field team will travel to Northfield, Minn. to compete in the MIAC Track Field Championships hosted by Carleton College May 7-8.

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s track and field team hope to improve on its fifth place finish in the MIAC Indoor Championships this winter and a third place finish in last year’s outdoor conference meet. Head Coach Tom Thorkelson expects the team to be competitive overall and strong in the field events. Alex Kestly (Senior, Chisholm, Minn.) and Andy Klaers (Freshman, Delano, Minn) will lead the Gusties in the throws. Jack Henkemeyer (Sophomore, Plymouth, Minn.) and Stephen Handler (Senior, Shellsburg, Iowa) will lead the Gusties in the sprints. In the relays, the men are expected to do well in the 4×100 and 4×400.
