The Gustavus men’s hockey team saw its hopes of a second place league finish dashed with a 3-1 loss to St. Thomas in St. Paul. The Gusties, who can finish no higher than third place, will host the Tommies on Friday night at 7:05 pm.

Sophomore defenseman Keith Detlefsen scored with :26 remaining in regulation play to give Gustavus an exciting 5-4 win over Bethel College at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter on Friday night. The Gusties improve to 11-8-3 overall and 8-3-2 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team defeated St. Olaf 4-1 on Saturday night in St. Peter, Minn. Keith Detlefsen and Joe Ulwelling each had two assists in Saturday night’s conference win against St. Olaf.

The men’s hockey team skated to a 3-3 tie with Saint Mary’s at Roberts Rink in St. Peter on Friday night. The Gusties never trailed in the game, but failed to put the Cardinals away after holding 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 leads.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Hamline on Friday night and then held on for a 3-2 win at Don Roberts Ice Rink. Sophomore forward Steven Dusich led the Gusties with one goal and one assist.

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team defeated Concordia College 4-2 at Don Roberts Rink in St. Peter, Minn. Saturday afternoon. Tom Awaijane (Senior, Coon Rapids, Minn.) recorded the first hat-trick of his career in the conference win.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie with Concordia at Don Roberts Ice Rink in Saint Peter on Saturday night. Outstanding performances by Gustavus netminder Dan Melde and Concordia goaltender Ryan Gill highlighted the tightly played affair.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team lost 4-3 to Saint John’s at Don Roberts Rink in St. Peter on Sunday. The Johnnies tallied the gamewinner at 7:23 of the third period. The two MIAC heavyweights split the weekend series with each team winning on the road.
