The Gustavus men’s hockey team lost to sixth-ranked Saint John’s 7-0 on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. The Johnnies improve to 6-0-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the MIAC, while the Gusties fall to 3-6-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the MIAC.

Loren Havemeier Named MIAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus College junior forward Loren Havemeier (Sleepy Eye, Minn.) has been named the MIAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week for November 22-28. Havemeier scored three goals and recorded an assist at the Babson Thanksgiving Tournament.

Men’s Hockey Defeats Babson 6-4, to Claim Babson Invitational Title
The Gustavus men’s hockey team defeated host Babson 6-4 to claim the championship at the Babson Invitational Tournament. The Gusties were led by Loren Havemeier who tallied a hat trick in the contest. Havemeier was named MVP of the tournament.

Men’s Hockey Defeats Skidmore 8-1 in Babson Tournament
The Gustavus men’s hockey team defeated Skidmore 8-1 in the first round of the Babson Invitational in Boston, Massachusetts. Jon Keseley led the Gusties with two goals. Gustavus will face host Babson in the tournament championship on Sunday at 4 pm.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team lost 5-3 on Saturday night to UW-Stevens Point. Steven Jensen recorded two goals and Steven Dusich recorded a goal and an assist for Gustavus.

The Gustavus Men’s Hockey team was defeated by UW-Eau Claire 5-2 on Friday night. Senior forward Jason Watters and first year forward Ben Ollila were the goalscorers for Gustavus, while sophomore forward Steve Jensen assisted on both goals.

Men’s Hockey Falls to UW-Superior 2-5
The Gustavus men’s hockey team lost to UW-Superior 2-5 on Saturday night in St. Peter, Minn. There were 39 penalties called in Saturday’s game for a total of 72 minutes. Steve Dusich and Steven Jensen were the goal scorers for Gustavus.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team lost to St. Scholastica 3-2 on Friday night in St. Peter, Minn. Junior Adam Meyer scored both goals for the Gusties. St. Scholastica scored a short handed goal with 1:15 left to win the game.

Senior men’s hockey player Dan Melde has been selected by the College Sporting News website as one of the MIAC’s outstanding student athletes.

The Gustavus men?s hockey team ended the regular season with a 4-2 loss to St. Thomas at Don Roberts Rink. With the loss, the Gusties fall to 12-10-3 overall and 9-5-2 in the MIAC, while St. Thomas improves to 15-7-3 overall and 13-2-1 in the MIAC.
