Pedersen Named Division III PING All-America Honorable Mention

The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Wednesday released the 2020 NCAA Division III PING All-America Team and Gustavus sophomore Jacob Pedersen (Minnetonka) was selected All-America honorable mention.

Pedersen, Ullan Earn PING All-Region Honors

Division III PING All-Region honorees were announced Wednesday aftertoon by the GCAA and Jacob Pedersen (So., Minnetonka) and Max Ullan (Jr., Blaine) earned the award for Gustavus. A total of 96 players across six regions – Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Great Lakes, Central, and West – earned all-region honors for 2020.

MIAC Cancels Spring Sports Season

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Presidents' Council has voted to cancel the 2020 conference regular season and postseason championships for spring-sports through the remainder of the academic year, effective immediately. The decision was based on the ongoing impact of the coronavirus, following the lead of the NCAA canceling spring-sport championships and many other conferences canceling their spring seasons.

NCAA Cancels Winter and Spring Championships

Today, NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors canceled the Division I men’s and women’s 2020 basketball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships. This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat

Gustavus Athletics Department Inducts Class of 2019 Hall of Fame

The Gustavus Athletics Department inducted eight new members into its Hall of Fame last Saturday night during the 42nd annual banquet.

Men’s Golf Finishes Second at MIAC Championships

Despite improving its final round score by 11 strokes, the No. 25-ranked Gustavus men’s golf team finished in second place at the MIAC Championships, played at Ridges at Sand Creek. Jacob Pedersen (So., Minnetonka) and Max Ullan (Jr., Blaine) earned All-Championship Team honors with second and fifth place finishes, respectively.

Men’s Golf Leads MIAC Championships After First Round

After one round of play at the MIAC Championships, the No. 25-ranked Gustavus men's golf team leads the field with a score of 301. The Gusties lead by four strokes over Concordia, Saint John's, and St. Thomas, who are all tied at 305.
