The Gustavus baseball team kept its playoff hopes alive with a 6-2, 6-1 sweep of Hamline at Midway Stadium in St. Paul on Wednesday afternoon. The Gusties, who are 18-17 overall and 10-8 in the MIAC, have now won eight of their last 11 games.

The Gustavus baseball team saw its five-game winning streak come to an end in convincing fashion as Minnesota State University, Mankato handed the Gusties a 22-4 loss in St. Peter.

The Gustavus women’s track and field team hosted the Drake Alternative on Saturday, April 30 in St. Peter. No team scores were kept. The Gusties placed first in five running events, three relays and three field events.

The Gustavus men’s and women’s tennis teams won MIAC Championships on Saturday afternoon. The men defeated Carleton 9-0 in St. Peter, while the women defeated Carleton 8-1 in St. Paul.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team advanced to semifinals of the MIAC Team Championship with a 9-0 win over Hamline on Friday afternoon. The Gusties will now face Saint John’s on Saturday at 11:00 am. The tournament is being played on the Gustavus campus.

The Gustavus women’s tennis team defeated Bethel 9-0 in the quarterfinals of the MIAC Team Championship being held at the College of St. Catherine. The Gusties will now play St. Catherine in the semifinals on Saturday morning.

The Gustavus baseball team earned two victories against non-conference foe Buena Vista in St. Peter on Thursday afternoon. The Gusties won game one 9-5 and then claimed game two 6-2. Gustavus is now 16-16 overall.
