The ITA announced the final rankings for the 2003-2004 season on May 31st. The Gustavus women’s tennis team ended the year ranked fifth in the nation and had two doubles teams and two individuals ranked nationally by the ITA.

Jackie Luehmann Places Second in Shot Put at National Championships

Gustavus Adolphus College senior Jackie Luehmann placed second in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Luehmann threw a distance of 46-6 3/4 to earn All-America honors for the sixth time of her college career.

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s track field team have qualified two individuals and one relay team for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The championships will be hosted by Millikan University May 27-29 in Decatur, Illinois.

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s track and field team scored 105 points and placed third in the MIAC Championships Meet. Senior Kristin Petersen won the discus and senior Jackie Luehmann won the shot put. Eleven Gusties earned all-conference honors
