Three Gusties Named to the MIAC All-Conference Team Posted on May 20th, 2004 by

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s softball team had three players named to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference Team. Senior Ingrid Olson (White Bear Lake, Minn.) and sophomore Audrey Lenoch (Pine Island, Minn.) were named to the all-conference team for the second time of their career, while senior Molly Biehn (Mankato, Minn.) was named for the third time of her career.

Biehn had a solid year at the plate and on the mound for Gustavus. On the mound, she finished the year with an ERA of 2.88 and led the team in four statistical categories. Biehn had a team best 74 strikeouts, 14 complete games, 10 wins and four shutouts. At the plate, Biehn compiled a .333 batting average, .532 slugging percentage and .423 on base percentage. She posted 37 hits, drove in 30 runs and led the team in doubles with 13.

Olson served as a catalyst for the Gustie offense as the lead-off batter all season. The outfielder posted 40 hits, drove in 20 runs and scored 39 times for Gustavus. The senior compiled a .342 batting average and a .379 on base percentage. Olson led the team in stolen bases with 13.

Lenoch led the Gusties at the plate setting five single season records at Gustauvs. She posted 68 hits, eight home runs and 109 total bases. The sophomore ended the season with a .544 batting average, which is the second highest in the Division III, and a .872 slugging percentage, which is the eighth highest in Division III.

Gustavus posted an overall record of 21-17 and placed fourth in the MIAC with a record of 15-7.
