Track & Field Cancels Lee Krough Invite, Adds Meet In Mankato
Due to inclement weather, the Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams have officially cancelled the 2018 Lee Krough Invitational, originally set to be hosted at the Gustie Track & Field Complex this Saturday.
Men’s Golf Opens Spring Season With Third Place Finish At Illinois Wesleyan Invite
The Gustavus men’s golf team kicked off its spring season Saturday with a round at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational and took third of 15 teams with a score of 300. Host Illinois Wesleyan won the event with a score of 289 and UW-Eau Claire took second at 297.
Men’s Tennis Falls At No. 6 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
In a battle of top-10 ranked Division III men’s tennis teams, No. 8 Gustavus came out on the short end of a 9-0 decision at No. 6 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday. The loss drops the Gusties' overall record to 15-8 as they conclude their California spring break trip.
Women’s Tennis Takes Fourth At Midwest Invite
The No. 40-ranked Gustavus women's tennis team fell 7-2 against the No. 22-ranked Kenyon College in the third place matchup on Saturday at the Midwest Invitational, dropping to 8-7 overall on the season.
Men’s Tennis Splits Pair Of Matches Against Ranked Teams
The No. 8 Gustavus men’s tennis team split a pair of matches as a split squad Friday. The top team defeated No. 33 Lewis & Clark 8-1 and the second team lost to NAIA No. 14 Westmont 9-0, moving their overall record to 15-7.
Women’s Tennis Splits Two Matches At Midwest Invite
The No. 40-ranked Gustavus women's tennis team split two matches against ranked opponents during day one of the Midwest Invitational at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on Friday, winning 6-3 over No. 39 DePauw University prior to falling 8-1 against No. 10 University of Chicago.
Weekend Softball Games Postponed
This weekend's Gustavus softball home games have been postponed. Saturday's MIAC doubleheader against St. Olaf has been moved to April 24 and Sunday's MIAC doubleheader against Saint Benedict has been postponed to Wednesday, which will be played on the football field.
Men’s Tennis Tops No. 12 Pomona-Pitzer 8-1
In a matchup of top-12 nationally ranked teams and the No. 2 ranked squads in their respective regions, the No. 8 Gustavus men’s tennis team put together a convincing 8-1 victory at No. 12 Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday night. A split squad lost 6-3 against Hope International, moving the Gusties’ record to 14-6 overall.
Women’s Golf Spring Opener In St. Louis Cancelled
The spring opener for the Gustavus women’s golf team is pushed back a week as the Washington University-St. Louis Invite scheduled for Saturday and Sunday has been cancelled. The Gusties will now begin the spring season April 14-15 in Normal, Ill. at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational.
Baseball Makes Schedule Changes
The Gustavus baseball Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener will once again be delayed due to weather, adjusting two upcoming conference series versus Macalester College and Bethel University.
