Men’s Tennis Falls At No. 6 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Posted on April 7th, 2018 by

CLAREMONT, Calif. – In a battle of top-10 ranked Division III men’s tennis teams, No. 8 Gustavus came out on the short end of a 9-0 decision at No. 6 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday. The loss drops the Gusties’ overall record to 15-8 as they conclude their California spring break trip.

“The guys played hard today,” Head Coach Tommy Valentini said. “CMS is an excellent team and they played a heck of a match against us. It wasn’t the result we were going for today, but we stuck together and will learn a lot from this one as we prepare for the challenges that lie ahead the rest of the way. Overall it was an outstanding spring trip for our team.”
