Women’s Hoops Travels To Hamline Saturday Looking For Series Sweep

The Gustavus women’s basketball team is back on the road Saturday taking on Hamline at 3 p.m. The Gusties enter the conference game 16-4 overall and 10-3 in the MIAC, while the Pipers are on the exact other end of the spectrum at 4-16 overall and 3-10 in the league.

Swimming & Diving Hosts Final Invitational Before Conference Meet

The Gustavus men’s and women’s swim & dive teams are set for their final tune-up before the MIAC Championships, hosting an invitational on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s session begins at 6 p.m., while the two Saturday sessions are 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Vic Gustafson Pool. Other teams competing include Carleton, Saint Mary’s, and St. Olaf.

Women’s Hockey Takes On St. Kate’s This Weekend

The No. 6-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team plays a home-home MIAC series this weekend against St. Catherine. Friday’s game in St. Paul, Minn. begins at 7 p.m. and Saturday’s game in St. Peter starts at 2 p.m. The Gusties enter the weekend series 13-2-4 overall and 7-2-3 in the MIAC, while the Wildcats are 6-12-1 overall and 5-6-1 in the league.

Men’s Hoops Hopeful For Series Sweep At Hamline

The Gustavus men’s basketball team is set for a fourth consecutive Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference road matchup Saturday afternoon, traveling to St. Paul, Minn. to take on Hamline University, in search of a series sweep. The Gusties (10-10, 8-7 MIAC) and the Pipers (9-11, 5-10 MIAC) are set to tipoff at 1 p.m. from Hutton Arena.

Former Gustavus Athletic Trainer Gary Reinholtz To Be Inducted Into NATA Hall Of Fame

The National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) recently announced its 2018 national award winners and former Gustavus athletic trainer Gary Reinholtz has been honored as one of seven members to the Class of 2018 NATA Hall of Fame. Reinholtz was the first full-time athletic trainer for the Gustavus athletic department, starting in 1976, and served as the head athletic trainer for 22 years. The Madison, Wis. native retired in 2004 after serving as the program director for the athletic training major in the Department of Health and Exercise Science.

Gymnastics Prepares For UW-La Crosse Triangular

The Gustavus gymnastics team is set to compete in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Triangular on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Friday evening. The meet between the Gusties, UW-La Crosse, and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Track & Field To Take Part In Ted Nelson Classic

The Gustavus men’s and women’s track & field teams are set to compete in the Ted Nelson Classic at Minnesota State University, Mankato on Saturday. Field events are schedule to begin at 11 a.m. followed by track events at noon.
