MEET NOTES

ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus gymnastics team is set to compete in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Triangular on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Friday evening. The meet between the Gusties, UW-La Crosse, and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Last time out

Gustavus fell by a score of 185.272-179.050 last Friday at University of Wisconsin-Stout. Gustavus tied a season-best score on the bars and claimed a season-high on the beam, scoring 46.050 on vault, 44.025 on bars, 44.525 on beam, and 44.450 on floor for the season-best all-around score. Amanda Malo (Jr., Greenwood, Minn.) headlined the team’s performance, winning the floor with a season-high score of 9.350.

About UW-La Crosse

  • The Eagles are off to a 4-0 start, 3-0 in the WIAC
  • UWL most recently earned a third consecutive WIAC dual meet win at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, winning 188.400-183.900 while sweeping each individual event
  • Gustavus was defeated by UWL 187.875-174.275 three weeks back in La Crosse, Wis.

About UW-Eau Claire

  • The Blugolds most recently took third place at the Seattle Invite last Friday, finishing with a team score of 184.900 behind Seattle Pacific and Lindenwood University. 
  • UWEC is 1-2 during conference competition, with losses versus UW-Whitewater and UW-Stout. The sole victory came against the Gusties in the season opener at Sponberg Gymnastics Studio, prevailing by a score of 181.275-175.8.
