Saturday’s game marks the 180th meeting between Gustavus and Hamline on the hardwood, with the Gusties holding a 107-72 advantage in the all-time series. The two teams previously met at Gus Young Court Dec. 9, with the Gusties prevailing with a 65-59 victory. Trailing by four points at halftime, the Gustavus opened the second half on a 21-8 run and maintained the lead for the rest of the game. The Black and Gold shot 26-for-48 from the field and out-rebounded the Pipers by a margin of 41-22.

Spencer Tollefson (Jr., New Richland, Minn.) tallied a season-high 15 points, while Kelsey Thomas (Sr., Wiesbaden, Germany) added 15 as well to tie for the team-lead.
