PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The Gustavus women’s golf team competed in one round Friday at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club with a pair of golfers from Flagler College participating as well. Lara Ardler and Miranda Greene of Flager shot the first and second best rounds of the day at 74 and 79, respectively, while the Gusties rounded out the rest of the nine-golfer field.

Here are the Gustavus scores:

Jessica Nelson (So., Wayzata, Minn.) – 80 (+9)

Mallory Drenttel (Jr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) – 82 (+11)

Chloe Altmann (Sr., Olivia, Minn.) – 84 (+13)

Mae Meierhenry (Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) – 86 (+15)

Emilie Anderson (Sr., Osceola, Wis.) – 86 (+15)

McKenzie Swenson (So., Buffalo, Minn.) – 90 (+19)

Ellie Brandt (Fy., Wayzata, Minn.) – 101 (+30)

“We had a great week in Ponte Vedra Beach for playing and practicing,” Head Coach Scott Moe said. “Unfortunately our scores do not reflect how much we improved over the course of the week. The Lagoon Course presents plenty of challenges. We did not capitalize on as many opportunities as we hoped. We are looking forward to our next opportunity next weekend in the Augsburg Invitational.”

The Gusties next compete at the Augsburg Invite Saturday and Sunday at the University of Minnesota’s Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn.
