Women’s Track & Field Competes At CSB-SJU Invite

The Gustavus women’s track and field team competed at the CSB-SJU Invitational Saturday at the Donald McNeely Spectrum. A trio of first place finishes highlighted the day for the Gusties. Sarah Swanson (Sr., Fairbanks, Alaska) won the shot put with a toss of 43-6.5, Lydia Hayes (So., Decorah, Iowa) took the gold in the one-mile at 5:25.46, and the 4x200-meter relay team of Maddison Ackiss (Jr., Fairbanks, Alaska), Jalia Anderson (Fy., Plymouth, Minn.), Kaitlin Bembenek (Sr., Prior Lake, Minn.) and Ashley Elford (So., Red Wing, Minn.) crossed the line in 1:51.45.

Women’s Basketball Concludes Regular Season With 72-49 Win Over Carleton

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's basketball team wrapped up its regular season in style on Saturday, coming away with a 72-49 victory over Carleton College at Gus Young Court. With the win, the Gusties finish tied for second place with Saint Mary's in the MIAC standings with a 14-4 conference record, while the Knights fall to 1-17 in the league.

Men’s Tennis Earns Wins Over MIAC Foes St. Thomas, Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team swept a pair of MIAC foes on Saturday, taking down the University of St. Thomas 8-1 at the Swanson Tennis Center, and also earning a 7-2 win over Saint Mary's University at the Winona Tennis Center. With the victories, the Gusties move to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the MIAC.

Men’s Basketball Ends Season On A High Note, Defeats Carleton 67-58

With its playoff hopes dashed and only pride and respect to play for, the Gustavus men’s basketball team went out on a high note, defeating Carleton 67-58 on Saturday, sending its six seniors off with a victory in their final game wearing the Black and Gold. The Gusties cap the season with a 12-13 overall record and 9-11 mark in the MIAC, ending the year in eighth place.

Women’s Hockey Eliminated From Playoff Contention With 1-1 Tie Vs. Hamline

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey team finished its regular season with a tie against the Hamline Pipers on Saturday at Don Roberts Ice Rink. With the tie, the Gusties finish their season 9-11-5 overall and 8-6-4 in the MIAC, while the Pipers become 9-13-3 overall and 6-10-2 in the league.

Women’s Basketball Hosts Senior Day Vs. Carleton Today

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team goes for its fifth straight win at 3 p.m. on Saturday when its hosts Carleton College for Senior Day on Gus Young Court. The Gusties enter the contest with an 18-6 overall record and 13-4 mark in the conference, while the Knights come to town at 4-20 overall and 1-16 in the MIAC.

Men’s Basketball Caps Off Season Today At Home Against Carleton

The Gustavus men’s basketball team hosts its final game of the season at 1 p.m. today for game two of the season series against Carleton. The Knights won game one of the series 64-53 in overtime on Jan. 16 in Northfield, Minn. The Gusties enter the matchup with an 11-13 overall record and 8-11 mark in the MIAC, while the Knights are 13-11 overall and 10-9 in the league. Gustavus is coming off a thrilling 63-62 win over Saint John’s, while the Knights lost 65-60 to Bethel on Wednesday.

Women’s Swim & Dive Remains In Second Place After Day Two Of MIAC Championships

The Gustavus women’s swimming and diving team remains in second place after day two of the MIAC Championships, but the gap between first place St. Thomas has widened to 90.5 points. The Gusties have 479 points, while the Tommies have moved out in front with 569.5 points.

Men’s Swimming & Diving In Fifth Heading Into Final Day Of MIAC Championships

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s swimming and diving team dropped one spot to fifth place with 322 points after day two of the MIAC Championships being held in the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. The University of St. Thomas is the two-day leader with a score of 605.5, Saint John's University sits second with a 338, St. Olaf College rounds out the top three in third with 331.5, and Carleton College sits just ahead of Gustavus in fourth with 331.

Men’s Hockey Ties Hamline 1-1, Falls In Shootout

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s hockey team tied Hamline University 1-1 Friday night, but dropped a point with a shootout loss at Don Roberts Ice Rink. Although the first two periods went scoreless, both teams scored in the third, ending regulation 1-1, but a shootout goal gave the Pipers the second point in the league standings. The loss brings Gustavus to 6-13-5 overall and 5-7-3 in the conference, while Hamline moves to 8-11-6 overall and 5-8-3 in the league.
