Women’s Basketball Rolls To 67-32 Victory Over Carleton

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's basketball team earned its third straight victory when it rolled to a 67-32 victory over Carleton College on Saturday afternoon at West Gym. The win pushes the Gusties to 11-4 overall and 6-2 in the MIAC, while Carleton falls to 4-11 overall and 1-7 in the conference.

Women’s Hockey Back On Track, Defeats St. Catherine 3-0

ST. PETER, Minn. The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey team was able to get back on track in its first home game of the New Year, defeating St. Catherine University 3-0 on Saturday at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The victory pushes Gustavus to 4-7-3 overall, and 3-2-3 in the MIAC, while the Wildcats drop to 1-10-4 overall, and 0-7-1 in the league.

Men’s Basketball Falls 64-53 In Overtime At Carleton

Despite erasing a seven-point halftime deficit and forcing the game into overtime, the Gustavus men’s basketball team was unable to hold off Carleton in the final five minutes, losing 64-53. The Gusties fall to 5-9 overall and 2-7 in the MIAC, while the Knights improve to 10-4 overall and 7-2 in the league.

Men’s Basketball Heads To Carleton Saturday

The Gustavus men’s basketball team is set to take on Carleton College at 1 p.m. Saturday at West Gym in Northfield, Minn. The Gusties enter the MIAC matchup with a 5-8 overall record and 2-6 mark in the league after a 65-60 loss to St. Olaf on Monday, while the Knights are 9-4 overall and 6-2 in the MIAC after an 81-69 victory over Hamline on Wednesday. Gustavus currently sits in eighth place in the league standings and Carleton is in third place.

Gymnastics Takes Fourth At Winona With Score Of 177.500, Kopp Wins All-Around

The Gustavus gymnastics team took fourth place out of four teams at the Brooke Baures “Smile On” Invitational, hosted by Winona State University on Friday. The Gusties posted a team score of 177.500, which is a slight improvement from their first team score of the season last week.

Men’s Hockey Edged By UW-Superior 2-1

The Gustavus men’s hockey team put forth a hard-fought effort Friday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink, but came out on the wrong side of a 2-1 decision against UW-Superior to fall to 3-9-2 overall on the season.

Women’s Hockey Ties St. Kate’s 1-1

After more than a month long hiatus from MIAC play, the Gustavus Adolphus College women's hockey team opened its 2016 conference schedule with a 1-1 tie against St. Catherine University on Friday evening at Drake Arena. The tie puts the Gusties at 3-7-4 overall, and 2-2-3 in the MIAC, while St. Catherine moves to 1-9-4 overall and 0-6-1 in the conference.

Gymnastics Heads To Winona Today For Brooke Baures ‘Smile On’ Memorial Invite

The Gustavus gymnastics team is set to participate in the four-team Brooke Baures "Smile On" Memorial Invite at 6:30 p.m. today in Winona, Minn. The participating teams include Gustavus, Winona State, UW-Stout and UW-Whitewater. Tonight's meet is the first on the road for the Gusties as they were edged by UW-Oshkosh 176.975-176.250 in the home opener last Saturday.

Men’s Hockey Hosts UW-Superior, UW-River Falls For Parents Weekend

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s hockey team hopes to get back in the win column this weekend as it hosts Parents Weekend at Don Roberts Ice Rink against a pair of WIAC opponents. The Gusties take on UW-Superior at 7:05 p.m. Friday followed by a 7:05 p.m. game Saturday against No. 10-ranked UW-River Falls. Gustavus enters with a 3-8-2 overall record after a 5-3 setback against UW-Stout last Saturday; UW-Superior comes to town with a 4-10-2 record after a close 3-2 loss against Saint John’s last Saturday; and UW-River Falls is 10-4-2 after a 1-0 victory over Concordia last Saturday.
