St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s golf team is back on campus and back on the links for preseason training.  After graduating a six-member 2013-14 senior class that included staples Tyler McMorrow and Andrew Oakes, Head Coach Scott Moe sees this year’s lineup as one that is wide open.

“It has been very competitive early on in preseason,” said Moe.  “The great thing about golf is that you have to go out and earn your scores.  The guys who are shooting the low numbers are the ones who are going to get a chance to play right away – regardless of their age and experience.”

The Gustavus men’s golf team will have one week’s worth of practice before its first competition on Wednesday, Sept. 3 when the Gusties face Minnesota State University, Mankato in a dual at the Le Sueur Country Club.
