Women’s Hockey Set To Take On St. Olaf This Weekend, Coach Carroll Seeking 200th MIAC Win Posted on February 16th, 2012 by

After securing its eighth consecutive MIAC title last weekend with a sweep over Saint Mary’s, the fourth-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team will take on St. Olaf in a home/away series Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Game one will take place at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter, Minn. at 7:00 p.m. and the rematch will be at the Northfield Ice Arena at 2:00 p.m. The Gusties enter with an 18-1-2 overall record and 13-0-1 mark in the MIAC, while the Oles boast a 7-10-4 overall record and 7-5-2 mark in the conference.

Head Coach Mike Carroll

Gustavus Head Coach Mike Carroll will be vying for his 200th career victory in the MIAC. In 13 seasons on the Gustavus bench, Carroll has compiled a 199-20-4 (.901) mark in the conference. He would become the first coach in the 14-year history of the league to reach 200 wins.
