Schenfeld Shares Tournament Crown As Women’s Golf Finishes Third At Mustang Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s golf team finished in third place after shooting a team total 316-311-627 (+51) at the SMSU Mustang Invite held Sunday at the Marshall Golf Club in Marshall, Minn. Gustavus senior Katie Schenfeld continued her solid fall play, tying Hawaii-Hilo’s Randi Ono for first place after shooting a 75-75-150 (+6).

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s golf team finished in third place after shooting a team total 316-311-627 (+51) at the SMSU Mustang Invite held Sunday at the Marshall Golf Club in Marshall, Minn.  Gustavus senior Katie Schenfeld continued her solid fall play, tying Hawaii-Hilo’s Randi Ono for first place after shooting a 75-75-150 (+6).

Augustana (SD) took the team crown with a 36-hole 617 (+41), while Hawaii-Hilo placed second after shooting a 626 (+50).

Ann Jackson finished in the top-20 for the fourth time this season, taking 12th place after shooting a 79-78-157 (+13).  Taylor Drenttel was the only other Gustavus golfer to crack the top-20.  She finished in a three-way for 17th with an 82-77-159 (+15).  Rounding out the Gustavus team was Kayleigh Dittes in 24th (162), Rikka Holiday in 35th (165), Nicole Tetrault in 42nd (169), and Jessica Skaare in 59th (181).

The Gustavus women’s golf team will compete in the MIAC Championship on Oct. 2-4 held at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids, Minn.
