Women’s Swimming Places Second At Falcon Invitational

The Gustavus women's swimming and diving team placed second at the Falcon Invitational held on Friday and Saturday in the University of Minnesota's Aquatics Center in Minneapolis, Minn. Ten teams competed in the two day event, as Gustavus totaled 665.5 points with UW-Eau Claire taking first with 937 points.

Men’s Hockey Posts Impressive 7-1 Win Over St. Thomas

The Gustavus men's hockey team used four second period goals to break open a tight game and claim a convincing 7-1 win over St. Thomas at Don Roberts Ice Rink on Saturday night. Matt Schugel scored two goals and Patrick Dynan added one goal and three assists to lead the Gusties.

Women’s Hockey Ties St. Thomas 2-2

The Gustavus women's hockey team picked up a point in its weekend series with St. Thomas by skating to a 2-2 tie at the St. Thomas Ice Rink in Mendota Heights on Saturday afternoon. Lindsey Hjelm and Kirsten Peterson scored for the Gusties.

Strong Second Half Propels Women’s Basketball Team To 66-61 Win Over Concordia

After shooting poorly and trailing by three points at halftime, the Gustavus women's basketball team came to life in the second half and outscored Concordia 40-32 on its way to an important 66-61 conference victory. Molly Mathiowetz led the Gusties in scoring with 17 points including 11 in the second half. Gustavus has now won four straight games and is 4-1 on the season.

Men’s and Women’s Diving Teams Take Part In SCSU Diving Invite

tTori Hubbard, Brittani Matzke, Eydie Kramer, Bill Klein, and Ryan Ortlip represented the Gustavus women's and men's diving teams in this weekends SCSU Diving Invite. The two-day event was held in St. Cloud, Minn. on Friday and Saturday this past weekend.

Phil Wirtjes Hits 50-Foot Shot At The Buzzer To Give Men’s Basketball The 57-54 Overtime Victory Over Concordia

Gustavus Adolphus junior guard Phil Wirtjes hit a half court shot with less than one second to play, giving the Gusties a 57-54 victory over Concordia on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Wirtjes finished the game with six points as the Gusties were led in scoring by Ryan McPartland who went 8-12 from the field for 17 points.

Men’s Hockey Defeats St. Thomas 4-0 in Mendota Heights

The Gustavus men's hockey team picked up an important two points with a 4-0 win over St. Thomas at the St. Thomas Ice Rink in Mendota Heights on Friday night. Josh Swartout was impressive in the nets for the Gusties as he recorded 31 saves and posted his first shutout of the season. Four different players scored for Gustavus.

Women’s Hockey Sees 50-Match Conference Unbeaten String Come To End With 2-1 Loss To St. Thomas

The Gustavus women's hockey team lost to the University of St. Thomas 2-1 on Friday night in St. Peter as Kara Ledel scored the gamewinner for the Tommies with 4:35 remaining in the third period. The loss was the first for Gustavus against a conference opponent in 51 matches (just under three years). Melissa Mackley scored the lone goal for the Gusties who fall to 2-2-1 overall and 2-1-0 in the MIAC.

Men’s Basketball Opens MIAC Play With 55-46 Win At Carleton

The Gustavus men's basketball team opened the MIAC season with a 55-46 victory over Carleton College on Wednesday night in Northfield, Minn. Sam Paulson registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the game. The Gusties went 13-15 from the free throw line and won the turnover battle 17-10 in the game.

Bri Radtke’s Double-Double Sparks Women’s Basketball Team To 77-61 Win Over Carleton

Gustavus senior guard Bri Radtke scored 15 points and added a career high 13 assists to lead the Gusties to a 77-61 win over Carleton on Wednesday night in St. Peter. Gustavus improves to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the MIAC.
