Men’s and Women’s Diving Teams Take Part In SCSU Diving Invite Posted on December 5th, 2009 by

Members of the Gustavus diving team took part in the two-day St. Cloud State University Diving Invitational, held on Friday and Saturday in the Aquatic Center on the campus of St. Cloud State University.  Tori Hubbard, Brittani Matzke, and Eydie Kramer of the Gustavus women’s team competed, as Bill Klein and Ryan Ortlip represented the men’s team.

In the women’s one-meter diving, Tori Hubbard took seventh (339.25), Brittani Matzke placed 13th (321.60), and Eydie Kramer finished in 23rd (206.10) out of 24 divers.  In the women’s three-meter, Matzke placed 11th (326.75) and Eydie Kramer placed 22nd (207.50) out of 23 divers.

On the men’s side, Bill Klein placed eighth (357.25) out of 17 divers in the one-meter, while Ryan Ortlip took 14th (271.65).  In the three-meter diving,  Klein took 8th (319.85) and Ortlip took 9th (296.60) out of 14 divers.

Event winners included Cassi Mrozek of SCSU, winning both the one (413.20) and three-meter diving (408.70).  Luke Weber of SCSU also won both the one (505.85) and three meter (487.00) diving.  Participating teams included the College of Saint Ben’s, Saint John’s University, MSU Moorhead, UW-Eau Claire, St. Thomas, University of South Dakota, Minnesota State, and Gustavus Adolphus.
