The Gustavus women's tennis team defeated St. Thomas 5-0 in the MIAC Playoff Championship match late Saturday afternoon at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter. The Gusties defeated St. Olaf 5-0 in a semifinal match on Saturday morning to get to the championship match. Gustavus is now 22-8 on the season.

The Gustavus women's tennis team defeated St. Olaf 9-0 in Northfield on Monday as the Gusties claimed sole possession of its 17th consecutive MIAC title and the top seed in the MIAC Post-Season Championships. With the victory, Gustavus extended its conference regular season dual match winning streak to 176 matches dating back to 1990. The Gusties improved to 20-8 overall and 10-0 in the MIAC, while St. Olaf dropped to 6-5 overall and 5-4 in league play.

The Gustavus women's tennis team extended its MIAC winning streak by defeating Hamline 8-1 on Friday in St. Paul. The Gusties improved to 17-8 overall and 7-0 in MIAC competition, while the Pipers dropped to 4-13 overall and 0-8 in league play. Gustavus earned all three doubles points, dropping just one game in doubles play.

On a sunny day in Madison, Wis., the 13th-ranked Gustavus women's tennis team defeated 25th-ranked Wheaton (IL) 5-2 in the second round of the Midwest Invitational, as the Gusties earned a first-round bye in the tournament. Gustavus, which is now 13-6 overall, will face sixth-ranked Denison at the Midwest Invitational in Madison, Wis. on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. followed by a match at 2:30 p.m. regardless of the outcome of the morning match.

Women’s Tennis Finds Winning Ways With 6-3 Win Over Wellesley

The Gustavus women's tennis team got back in the win column on Thursday morning with an extremely competitive 6-3 win over 15th-ranked Wellesley in Lexington, Va. Four tiebreakers, including two third set tiebreakers, were played among the nine matches. The Gusties improved to 11-6 overall, while Wellesley dropped to 10-3 overall.
