Women’s Golf Holds 15-Shot Lead After First Round of the St. Thomas Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team fired a team score of 308 (its lowest round of the year) and leads the St. Thomas Invitational by 15 shots over UW-Stevens Point after the first round. The tournament, which is being played at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minn. concludes on Sunday. Gustavus junior Kali Griggs, who fired a 73, is in first place individually.

Women’s Golf Finishes Second at Carleton Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team rallied to shoot a tournament record 321 on Saturday, but still finished second to UW-Stevens Point at the Carleton Invitational played at Northfield Golf Club. The Gusties posted a 36-hole total of 333-321--654, while the Pointers earned the title with a total of 326-322--648. Gustavus placed four individuals in the top ten including Katie Schenfeld (6th), Kali Griggs (7th), Amanda Woodhull (8th), and Kimbra Kosak (9th).

Women’s Golf in Second Place After First Round of Carleton Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team shot a first round total of 333 and is seven shots behind leader UW-Stevens Point which posted a total of 326. The Gustavus White team is in seventh place with a total of 353. Amanda Woodhull, who fired a 79 is in fourth place individually. Annie Jackson, who fired an 81 to lead the White team, is in seventh place.

Women’s Golf Wins Weather Shortened Wartburg Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team posted a score of 321 to win the nine-team, Wartburg Invitational by five strokes over runner-up UW-Eau Claire. Junior Kali Griggs finished third individually with a round of 78. The Gustavus White team placed fifth with a total of 345.

Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth At Jekyll Island Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team opened its Spring season with a fourth place finish out of 22 teams at the Jekyll Island Invitational in Jekyll Island, Georgia. The Gusties were led by Kali Griggs who finished fourth individually with a 54-hole total of 84-79-81--244. Coach Scott Moe and his team will spend the rest of Spring Break practicing in Florida. The team's next tournament will be April 4-5 at the Wartburg Invitational in Waverly, Iowa.

The Gustavus women's golf team held off long-time nemesis St. Thomas to win the first MIAC Championship in the program's history on Monday afternoon at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids, Minn. The Gusties fired a 54-hole total of 324-333-323--980 to finish nine strokes ahead of St. Thomas, which posted a total of 328-335-326--989. Senior Kimbra Kosak tied for second individually with a total of 80-84-79--243.
