The Gustavus women’s golf team posted a score of 321 to win the nine-team, Wartburg Invitational by five strokes over runner-up UW-Eau Claire. Junior Kali Griggs finished third individually with a round of 78. The Gustavus White team placed fifth with a total of 345. The 36-hole tournament was scheduled to conclude on Sunday, however the final round was cancelled due poor weather conditions predicted for Saturday night and Sunday. It marks the fifth time in seven tournaments that the Gusties have taken top honors.

All five members of the Gustavus team placed in the top ten including Griggs, who tied for third with a 78, Katie Schenfeld, who tied for sixth with an 80, Taylor Drenttel, who tied for eighth with an 81, and Kimbra Kosak and Amanda Woodhull, who tied for ninth with a total of 82.

The Gustavus White team was led by Annie Jackson, who tied for ninth with an 82. Jackson was followed by Amanda Johnson, who tied for 15th with an 84, Kerri Groff, who tied for 36th with an 89, Lauren Runsvold, who tied for 39th with a 90, and Rikka Holiday, who tied for 39th with a 95.

The Gusties are scheduled to play in the Carleton Invitational next Friday and Saturday, April 10-11 at the Northfield Golf Club.
