Women’s Golf Team in Second Place After First Day of NCAA Championships

The Gustavus women's golf team is in second place after the first day of the NCAA Division III Championships which are being held at Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida (near Orlando). The Gusties were sparked by the fine play of sophomore Kimbra Kosak (Grand Rapids, Minn.), who fired a three-over par round of 76.

Women’s Golf Receives At-Large Bid To Participate in NCAA Championships

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team has been selected to participate in the 2007 NCAA Divison III Championships which will take place at Mission Inn Golf and Resort, in Howie-In-The-Hills, Florida (a suburb of Orlando). The Gusties, who finished second last year, will be making their fourth appearance in the past five years.

Women’s Golf Finishes Second at MWCGA State Tournament – Roberg, Griggs Earn Awards

The Gustavus women's golf team finished second at the Minnesota Collegiate Women's Golf Association (MWCGA) State Tournament, which was played at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minnesota on April 21-22. The Gusties fired a 36-hole total of 328-317—645 and finished six shots behind first place St. Thomas. Breanne Staples finished second individually to lead Gustavus. Rachel Roberg was named Player of the Year and Kali Griggs was named Freshman of the Year by a vote of the MWCGA coaches.

Women’s Golf Finishes Second At Carleton Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team finished second at the eight-team Carleton Invitational which was played Saturday and Sunday at the Northfield Golf Club. The Gusties fired a 36-hole total of 337-336--673 and finished four shots behind first place St. Thomas which totalled 336-333-669. Breanne Staples finished second individually with a total of 84-77-161.

Women’s Golf in Second After First Day of Carleton Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team fired a first round team score of 337 and trails St. Thomas by one stroke heading into the final round on Sunday. The Gusties were led by Kali Griggs who fired an 18-hole score of 82, which is good for fourth place. The tournament is being played at Northfield Golf Club.

Women’s Golf Team Opens Spring Season With Dual Meet Win Over Webber International

The Gustavus women's golf team opened its spring schedule with a dual meet win over Webber International University on Friday, April 6. The Gusties outscored WIU 340 to 382. Kimbra Kosak led the team with a score of 83.

Women’s Golf Finishes Third at Concordia Invitational

The Gustavus Adolphus women's golf team captured third place Sunday at the Concordia Invitational held at Wildflower Golf Course in Detroit Lakes, Minn. The Gusties shot 325-335--660 to finish 16 shots back of champion North Dakota State (319-325--644) and 11 shots back of University of North Dakota (322-327--649). Sophomore Rachel Roberg (Rice Lake, Wis.) finished second overall after posting a final round 79 for a 36-hole total of 157.

The Gustavus women's golf team shook off Friday's fifth-place finish at the Cobber Open to post a team score of 325 on Saturday, good for third place after day one of the Concordia Invitational at Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Sophomore Rachel Roberg (Rice Lake, Wis.) fired the low round for the Gusties after shooting a 78 and is tied for third.

Women’s Golf Captures Title at UW-Eau Claire Fall Invite; Roberg Ties for Medalist Honors

The Gustavus Adolphus women's golf team captured the team title at the UW-Eau Claire Fall Invitational Sunday with a school-record team total of 623. The Gusties fired a second-round 312 on the par 73, 6,118-yard Wild Ridge Course in Eau Claire, Wis. Junior Rachel Roberg turned in the low round of the tournament with a 75 Sunday to tie UW-Eau Claire's Meghan Sobotta for medalist honors at 152.

Women’s Golf Leads After First Round of UW-Eau Claire Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus women's golf team shot a team score of 311 Saturday and finds itself in the lead after the first round of the 2006 UW-Eau Claire Fall Invitational at Mill Run Golf Course in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The Gusties placed three individuals in the top five, led by sophomore Kimbra Kosak, who is tied for first with a 76. Second round is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Wild Ridge Golf Course.
