Women’s Cross Country Finishes 11th at Griak Invite, Harren Finishes First Individually
The Gustavus women's cross country team finished 11th out of 32 teams at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities on the Les Bolstad Golf Course. Hailey Harren led the way for the Gusties as she finished first in a time of 22:07.

The Gustavus women's cross country team finished sixth out of 19 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield on Saturday. Senior Hailey Harren finished first individually and set a new course record with a time of 21:52.
Hailey Harren Takes First at Central Regional Meet
The Gustavus women's cross country team had a strong showing at the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships Saturday, finishing sixth as a team and placing three runners in the top 15 with two advancing to next weekend's NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships at Ohio Wesleyan University. Junior Hailey Harren and senior Kourtney Joyce advance to the NCAA Championships after finishing first and fifth, respectively.
Harren Named MIAC Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year
Gustavus women's cross country runner Hailey Harren (Cold Spring, Minn.) has been named the 2005 MIAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year after claiming the individual title at last weekend's MIAC Cross Country Championships. Harren traversed the 6-kilometer course in 21:53, crossing the line 14 seconds ahead of runner-up Keidra Anderson of Hamline. Gustavus teammate Kourtney Joyce (Wadena, Minn.) finished third, 33 seconds behind Harren.
Women’s Cross Country Finishes Third, Fourth; Harren Takes 6K Title
The Gustavus women's cross country team picked up a pair of top four team finishes Saturday at the Dan Huston Invite in Waverly, Iowa. The meet featured both a 4-kilometer and a 6-kilometer race in order to give team's variety and allow more runners to figure into the scoring. The Gusties finished third in the 6-kilometer race, with junior Hailey Harren picking up the individual title. Gustavus picked up a fourth place team finish in the 4-kilometer race, led by Ashley Cronin's fourth place finish.
Women’s Cross Country Fourth at Roy Griak Invitational
The Gustavus women's cross country team placed three runners in the top 25 and finished fourth of 28 teams in the Maroon (Division III) race at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Saturday. Carleton won the team title with 93 points, while UW-Eau Claire edged St. Olaf for second place, 112-114. Junior Hailey Harren (Cold Spring, Minn.) picked up her third top-two finish in three races this season with a second place finish.

The Gustavus women's cross country team placed three runners in the top six at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday, but could only come away with a fourth place finish out of 15 teams. Junior Hailey Harren (Cold Spring, Minn.), the reigning Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's cross country runner of the week picked up her second victory in as many races with a clocking of 22 minutes, 10 seconds, breaking the meet record by 13 seconds.
Women’s Cross Country Finishes Third at SJU Invite, Harren Wins Individual Title
The Gustavus women's cross country team placed two runners in the top five but could not overcome Wartburg and the College of Saint Benedict during Saturday's Saint John's Invitational. Wartburg outdistanced Saint Benedict in the team race, 32-62. The Gusties finished third with 64 team points. Gustavus junior Hailey Harren crossed the finish line in first place, clocking a time of 22:07. Harren's time was over one minute better than the second-place finisher.
Women’s Cross Country Places Eighth at NCAA Central Region Meet
The Gustavus women's cross country team ended its season with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Central Region Meet on Saturday in Waverly, Iowa. Senior Nichole Petersen led the Gusties with an eighth place finish (23:01).
Women’s Cross Country Places Second at MIAC Championships
The Gustavus women's cross country team placed second overall at the MIAC Championships at Como Park in St. Paul, Minn. Senior Nichole Petersen placed sixth and first-year Lydia Davitt placed tenth to earn all-conference honors.
