    The Gustavus volleyball team defeated Nebraska Wesleyan 3-1 and then lost to Wartburg 3-1 on the second day of the Sugarload Invitational hosted by St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minn. Jennifer Thelemann and Andrea Kron were named to the All-Tournament team.

    The Gustavus volleyball team defeated Luther 3-0 and then lost to St. Scholastica 3-2 on the first day of the Sugarloaf Invitational hosted by St. Mary’s University in Winona. The Gusties will continue play on Saturday with a match against Nebraska Wesleyan at noon.

    The Gustavus volleyball team improved to 4-1 on the season with an impressive 3-0 non-conference win (30-18, 30-24, 30-16) over Northwestern College in Roseville on Wednesday night. Junior Jennifer Thelemann led the attack with 18 kills, while Bridget Burtzel contributed 34 set assists and 16 digs.

    The Gustavus volleyball team compiled a record of 3-1 at the Pikes Peak Invitational played at Colorado College in Colorado Springs this past weekend. The Gusties defeated Endicott College twice on Saturday to claim the third place finish. Andrea Kron and Emily Klein were named to the All-Tournament team.
