Men’s Soccer Falls in PKs to North Park in NCAA Second Round

It took penalty kicks for No. 19 North Park to take down the Gustavus men's soccer team in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon. The regional host Vikings were able to edge the Gusties 1-1 2OT (5-4 PK's).

Men’s Soccer Set to Host MIAC Championship in Mankato Saturday

The Gustavus men's soccer team will host St. Thomas at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato at 1 p.m. Saturday for the MIAC Championship match. Something has to give in Saturday's contest, as the Gusties (16-3) claim one of the top offenses in the country, while the Tommies (13-3-3) have one of the strongest defenses in the country. 

Richards, Dobson Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

 The 2019 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Google Cloud Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Teams are released and Gustavus senior Will Richards (Sr., Hudson, Wis.) and junior Trace Dobson (Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) were named to the 12-member District 6 Team, which features student-athletes from institutions in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The Google Cloud Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Men’s Soccer Wins MIAC Opener 2-1 Over St. Thomas

The Gustavus men's soccer team traveled to St. Paul on Wednesday to take on St. Thomas and took home the victory 2-1. The Gusties, who started five players in their first year of the program and played eight total in the contest, move to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the MIAC while the Tommies are 1-3-3 and 0-1 in the conference.

Men’s Soccer Travels to Martin Luther Thursday

The Gustavus men's soccer team will travel to Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn. Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. contest. The Gusties will put their 1-0 record on the line versus the Knights who are 1-1-1.

Men’s Soccer Blanks Martin Luther 4-0

Arthur Parens (Sr., Wayzata, Minn.) scored a hat trick Wednesday, guiding the Gustavus men’s soccer team to a 4-0 win over Martin Luther at the Gustavus reserve field. The shutout victory improves the Gusties to 2-0 early in the season, while the Knights fall to 0-3.
