Softball Sweeps Doubleheader Over Dubuque, Buena Vista
The No. 25-ranked Gustavus softball team continued its winning ways Saturday at the Rochester Regional Bubble with a 2-1 victory over the University of Dubuque, followed by a 6-4 extra-inning win over Buena Vista, improving to 4-0 on the season.
Annis Records Win No. 300 As Softball Defeats UW-Stevens Point 9-1
Sunday was a milestone day for the Gustavus softball team as Head Coach Jeff Annis claimed his 300th all-time victory in a season-opening 9-1 win against UW-Stevens Point at the Rochester Regional Bubble. The Gusties then faced UW-River Falls and won 11-4. Now in his 11th season at Gustavus, Annis holds an overall record of 301-122-1 and is the winningest coach in program history.
Season Preview: Softball Begins 2016 Campaign Sunday In Rochester
One year removed from its first ever MIAC playoff championship, the Gustavus softball team is eager to get back to the diamond with healthy mix of returning veterans and incoming first-years. The Gusties kick off their 2016 campaign Sunday with a non-conference doubleheader at the Rochester Regional Bubble against UW-Stevens Point (2:30 p.m.) and UW-River Falls (7 p.m.).
Five Gusties Honored In MIAC Softball Postseason Awards
