    Sarah Swanson Named MIAC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete-Of-The-Year

    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its indoor track and field awards Thursday and Gustavus throw specialist Sarah Swanson (Sr., Fairbanks, Alaska) was named Women’s Field Athlete-of-the-Year. Swanson becomes the first Gustie to earn the award since Janey Helland in 2011.

    Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball players Lindsey Johnson (Sr., Edina, Minn.) and Mikayla Miller (So., Goodhue, Minn.) were honored by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as All-Conference selections in its postseason awards that were released Thursday.     The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its men’s basketball awards Tuesday and Gustavus received one All-Conference performer and two Honorable Mentions. Gary Cooper (Sr., Detroit, Mich.) was named to the All-Conference Team, while Chris Narum (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) and Brody Ziegler (Sr., Mankato, Minn.) are Honorable Mention.
