The Gustavus men’s doubles team of Adam Morgan and Brett Morse-Karzen finished third at the ITA Small College Championshps which were played at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team wrapped up a very successful Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional by claiming both singles and doubles titles on Sunday afternoon.

The Gustavus tennis team is turning in an impressive performance at the Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional. Four Gustavus players are the lone remaining players in the singles tournament along with three of the four doubles teams.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team will host the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 1-3. This is the 20th consecutive year that the Gusties have hosted the ITA Midwest Regional.

It was a rough first day for the Gusties at the NCAA singles and doubles tournaments as Loren Collins and Adam Morgan and Brett Morse-Karzen were upset in the first round.

The men’s tennis team saw their hopes of a national title go up in smoke with a disappointing 4-1 loss to Williams in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships being held in Lewiston, Maine.

Top seeded Gustavus Adolphus College defeated second seeded Coe College 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Swanson Tennis Center on the Gustavus campus in St. Peter, Minn. Gustavus will advance to the NCAA Team Finals for the 11th consecutive year.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team defeated Carthage 5-2 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday in St. Peter. The Gusties will face Coe College in the second round on Sunday at noon.

The top-seeded Gustavus men’s tennis team defeated #2 seed Carleton 8-1 to win its 16th consecutive MIAC Championship and 31st in the past 34 years. The tournament was played on the Gustavus campus.
