Adam Morgan and Brett Morse-Karzen Finish Third at ITA Championships Posted on October 15th, 2004 by

The Gustavus men’s doubles team of Adam Morgan and Brett Morse-Karzen finished third at the ITA Small College Championshps which were played at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida.

The junior duo, who entered the tournament as the #2 seed, wrapped up a very successful fall season by defeating Ricky Butenko/Matt Larimore of Pacific Lutheran 7-6 (4), 1-6, 10-5 in the third place match. Morgan and Morse-Karzen, who finished fourth at the ITA Small College Championships last year, wrap up their fall season with a record of 6-1.

In singles play, Gustavus senior Ben Lundell will play Paul Bristow of Mary Washington for seventh place on Saturday morning. Lundell dropped his first round match to Yogi Masuoka of Emory 7-6 (4), 1-6, 0-6. He then lost to Partha Bhattacharya of the University of Rochester 2-6, 1-6 in the consolation bracket.
