Men’s Tennis Opens 0-3 in Hawai’i
The Gustavus Adolphus men's tennis team opened their season with three losses in Hawai'i over the weekend. The Gusties fell to Hawai'i Pacific University 8-1 on Thursday, BYU-Hawai'i 6-3 on Friday and the University of Hawai'i 7-0 on Saturday. HPU and BYU-Hawai'i are NCAA Division II schools, while Hawai'i is a NCAA Division I school.
Men’s Tennis Topped By BYU-Hawai’i 6-3
The Gustavus men's tennis team saw its dual record evened at 1-1 Friday with a 6-3 loss to Brigham Young University-Hawai'i in Laie, Hawai'i. Senior Loren Collins teamed with Jesse Brauer to register a 9-8 win at #3 doubles before picking up a 6-3, 6-0 win at #1 singles over Dillon Porter. Brett Morse-Karzen added the other Gustie victory with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Carleton Taylor at #6 singles.
Women’s Tennis Drops Spring Opener to BYU-Hawai’i 7-2
The Gustavus women's tennis team opened its spring season on the short end of a 7-2 result against NCAA Division II Brigham Young Univerity-Hawai'i Friday evening in Laie, Hawai'i. The Gusties will face University of Nebraska-Omaha Friday night (Feb. 10) at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter.
Men’s Tennis Falls to UH Rainbow Warriors 6-1
The Gustavus men's tennis team fell to 1-2 on the season with a 6-1 loss to NCAA Division I University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors Saturday in Honolulu. The Gusties won only two of nine matches, with John Kauss picking up the lone point with a win at #6 singles. Gustavus will host Minnesota State Mankato (9 a.m.) and Bethel (6 p.m.) next Saturday.
Men’s Tennis Opens Spring Season With 8-1 Win Over Division II Hawai’i-Hilo
The Gustavus men's tennis team opened its 2006 spring season Thursday evening with an 8-1 win over NCAA Division II Hawai'i-Hilo in Honolulu, Hawai'i. The Gusties (1-0) continue their swing through Hawai'i Friday against Brigham Young University-Hawaii and Saturday against Division I University of Hawai'i-Manoa before returning to Minnesota.
