Men’s Golf Battles Back To Take Second At 2011 MIAC Championships

The Gustavus men's golf team shot the lowest round of the tournament - a 290 (+2) on day three to finish runner-up at the 2011 MIAC Championships on Monday in Coon Rapids, Minn. The Gusties finished with a three-day score of 901 (+37), while St. Thomas won the 2011 MIAC Championship with an 897 (+33). Andrew Oakes and Alex Kolquist led Gustavus with a third and fifth place finish, respectively. Oakes shot a 223 (+7) and Kolquist fired a 224 (+8).
