Men’s track and field hurdler and jumper Taylor Rooney (Fy., Andover, Minn.) and women’s hockey forward Kaitlyn Klein (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College January Male and Female Student-Athletes-of-the-Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.

The Gustavus women’s track & field team took ninth of 14 teams Saturday at the Ted Nelson Classic on the campus of Minnesota State Mankato, scoring 14.5 points. Minnesota State and Augustana University tied for first place with 122 points each.

The Gustavus women’s track & field team took third out of four teams at the St. Olaf College Quadrangular Friday, scoring 127 points. The University of St. Thomas finished first with 156 points, followed by 151 from St. Olaf, 127 from Gustavus, and 120 from Bethel University.

The Gustavus men’s track & field team took third out of four teams at the St. Olaf College Quadrangular Friday, scoring 99 points. The University of St. Thomas finished first with 163 points, followed by 140 from Bethel University, 99 from Gustavus, and 91 from St. Olaf.
