The Gustavus men’s hockey team lost 3-1 at St. Thomas on Saturday night, dropping to 5-11-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the MIAC.

Men’s Hockey Suffers Overtime Loss to St. Thomas

The Gustavus men’s hockey team suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to St. Thomas on Friday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink, dropping to 5-10-1 overall and 2-4-1 in the MIAC. The Gusties netted the equalizer with 2:31 remaining in regulation, but the Tommies started overtime on the power play and took advantage with the game-winner 56 seconds later.

Men’s Hockey Returns to MIAC Slate, Faces St. Thomas This Weekend

The non-conference season is over and now the Gustavus men’s hockey team is back to MIAC action this weekend in a home-home series against St. Thomas. Friday’s game at Don Roberts Ice Rink starts at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday’s game in Mendota Heights begins at 7 p.m.

The Gustavus men's hockey team suffered a second consecutive 1-0 loss, this time to UW-River Falls on Saturday night, dropping to 5-9-1 overall. 

No. 4 UW-Eau Claire Slips by Men’s Hockey 1-0

The Gustavus men’s hockey team played bend-but-don’t-break hockey for nearly 59 minutes Friday night, but with 66 seconds remaining in the game No. 4-ranked UW-Eau Claire sniped in the lone goal of the contest to escape with a 1-0 victory.

Men’s Hockey Hosts Wisconsin Schools for Parents Weekend

The Gustavus men’s hockey team continues its home stand this weekend for Parents Weekend, hosting UW-Eau Claire on Friday and UW-River Falls on Saturday. Both games start at 7:05 p.m. at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The Gusties enter the weekend 5-7-1 overall, while No. 4-ranked UW-Eau Claire is 11-2-2 and UW-River Falls is 5-5-3.

The Gustavus men's hockey team lost 4-2 to Aurora on Saturday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The Gusties drop to 5-7-1 overall with the series split. 

Men’s Hockey Shuts Out Aurora 3-0

Chris Amsden (Sr., Saint Peter, Minn.) tied a personal best 40 saves to help the Gustavus men’s hockey team record a 3-0 shutout over Aurora on Friday night. The Gusties move to 5-6-1 overall while the Spartans drop to 7-5.

After a three-week break, the Gustavus men’s hockey team returns to the ice this weekend for a home series against Aurora. Friday’s game at Don Roberts Ice Rink begins at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday’s game starts at 3:05 p.m. The Gusties enter the series 4-6-1 overall while the Spartans are 7-4.

Men’s Hockey Loses 3-1 to No. 15 St. Scholastica

The Gustavus men’s hockey team Friday night lost to No. 15 St. Scholastica 3-1 in non-conference action, dropping to 4-6-1 overall. Despite not getting the win on the ice, Gustavus earned a victory for its charitable efforts by hosting the annual Teddy Bear Toss Game, which collected hundreds of new stuffed animals with donations going to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.
