Gymnastics: Niedermayer, Bell Join KNUJ For Gustie Spotlight

Gustavus gymnast Jessica Niedermayer (Jr., New Prague, Minn.) and Head Coach Aryn Bell joined the voice of the Golden Gusties Tom Wheeler on Saturday morning for the Gustie Spotlight, which aired on AM 860 KNUJ.

Gymnastics Hosts Winona State On Tuesday

The Gustavus gymnastics team is set to host its second dual meet of the season Tuesday at the Sponberg Gymnastics Studio. The Gusties welcome Winona State University for a 6 p.m. meet, just three days after competing against each other at the Brooke Baures “Smile On” Invite in Winona, Minn. Gustavus took fourth of four teams with a score of 177.500, while the host Warriors took second with a score of 184.325. After two meets this season, Gustavus is off to its best start since the 2004 campaign.

The Gustavus gymnastics team took fourth place out of four teams at the Brooke Baures “Smile On” Invitational, hosted by Winona State University on Friday. The Gusties posted a team score of 177.500, which is a slight improvement from their first team score of the season last week.

The participating teams include Gustavus, Winona State, UW-Stout and UW-Whitewater. Tonight's meet is the first on the road for the Gusties as they were edged by UW-Oshkosh 176.975-176.250 in the home opener last Saturday.
