Women’s Hockey Completes Sweep, Defeats Bethel 4-2

The No. 7-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team completed the sweep over Bethel University on Saturday afternoon, winning 4-2 at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The victory moves the Gusties to 6-1-1 overall and 5-1 in the MIAC, while the Royals fall to 3-6-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the league.

After nearly two weeks off, the No. 7-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team is set to compete against Bethel in a home and home series this weekend. Friday’s game in Blaine starts at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s game in St. Peter begins at 2 p.m. The Gusties enter the weekend with a 4-1-1 overall record and 3-1 mark in the MIAC, while the Royals are 3-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the league.

The Gustavus women’s hockey team rebounded after a tough loss last night, earning a 4-2 victory over Hamline on Saturday to split the regular season series. The Gusties scored three goals in the first period and held off a late rally by the Pipers to improve to 4-1-1 overall and 3-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The No. 7 Gustavus women’s hockey team was upset 5-2 Friday night at Hamline University, dropping its first game of the season to move to 3-1-1 overall and 2-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

No. 7 Women’s Hockey Set For Hamline Series

The No. 7-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play this weekend, taking on Hamline University. Friday’s game in St. Paul begins at 7:15 p.m., while Saturday’s game at Don Roberts Ice Rink starts at 2 p.m. The Gusties most recently opened conference action last weekend with a sweep over St. Olaf College, moving to 3-0-1 overall. The Gustavus women's hockey team opened its 2017-18 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference slate with a 4-1 victory over St. Olaf College Friday evening at Don Roberts Ice Rink, led by a two goal performance from Kaitlyn Klein (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.). 

Women’s Hockey Opens MIAC Play This Weekend Against St. Olaf

The No. 7-ranked Gustavus women’s hockey team begins Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play this weekend, taking on St. Olaf. Friday’s game in St. Peter begins at 5 p.m., while Saturday’s game in Northfield starts at 2 p.m. The Gusties most recently tied No. 10 UW-Eau Claire last Saturday in their home opener, moving to 1-0-1 overall. The Oles are coming off a 4-4 tie at UW-Stevens Point. St. Olaf hosts UW-Eau Claire on Thursday and enters that game with a 1-0-1 overall record.

Home Opener Ends In 2-2 Draw For Women’s Hockey

The No. 7-ranked Gustavus women's hockey team responded twice being down by a goal in the home opener at Don Roberts Ice Rink, eventually coming to a 2-2 draw after overtime versus the the No. 10-ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Saturday afternoon.
