Andrea Peterson Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Week
Gustavus sophomore Andrea Peterson (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Hockey Player of the Week for November 15-21. Peterson scored three goals and recorded three assists this past weekend.

The Gustavus women’s hockey team completed its weekend sweep of Hamline with an 8-0 win at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter. Laura Vanelli led the Gustie scoring attack with two goals.

Women’s Hockey Defeats UW-River Falls 1-0
The Gustavus women’s hockey team defeated UW-River Falls 1-0 on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Andrea Peterson scored a power play goal at the 12:13 of the second period to give the Gusties their first win of the season.

Women’s Hockey Ties UW-Superior 2-2
The Gustavus women’s hockey team opened its season with a 2-2 overtime tie with the University of Wisconsin-Superior. The Gustavus goals were scored by Laura Stypulkowski and Abby Randall. Kara Meyer made 7 saves in the nets for the Gusties.

Andrea Peterson Named to the JOFA West All-America Ice Hockey Team
Gustavus Adolphus College women’s hockey player Andrea Peterson (First-year, Vadnais Heights, Minn.) has been named to the JOFA West All-America Ice Hockey Team. Peterson becomes the third Gustavus women’s hockey player to receive All-America honors.

Women’s Hockey Team Receives Numerous MIAC Post-Season Awards
The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced the 2004 women’s hockey awards in the past week and Gustavus figured prominently in the awards. Head coach Mike Carroll was named Co-coach of the Year.

Women’s Hockey Falls 3-2 in Two Overtimes to UW-Stevens Point
The Gustavus women’s hockey team suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 double-overtime loss to UW-Stevens Point in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night. The game was played at Roberts Ice Rink on the Gustavus campus.

Eden Prairie Native Kristin Setterstrom Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus College first year goaltender Kristin Setterstrom has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Hockey Player of the Week.
