    The Gustavus women’s golf team posted a final round 329 to finish with a 72-hole total of 1316 one stroke ahead of DePauw University (1317) in second place at the NCAA Division III Championship in Howie-In-The-Hills, Florida.     The Gustavus women’s golf team made a strong statement to the NCAA Championship selection committee with a 23-stroke win over second place St. Thomas at the Minnesota Women’s Collegiate Golf Association Invitational.     The Gustavus women’s golf team is in first place after the first day of the Minnesota Women’s Collegiate Golf Association (MWCGA) Tournament being played at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn. Senior Kelli Groff’s opening round 76 was the top score for Gustavus. The Gusties lead second place St. Thomas by four strokes.

  • Women’s Golf Defeats Wartburg in Dual Match

    The Gustavus women’s golf team took a big step towards earning a berth in the NCAA Championship with a 655-671 win over Wartburg College in a dual meet held at LeSueur Country Club on Friday and Saturday. Kimbra Kosak (79-84) of Gustavus and Megan Cress (82-81) of Wartburg tied for medalist honors.

    The Gustavus women’s golf team holds an eight shot lead against Wartburg College after the first day of the important dual between the two nationally rated squads. The Gusties fired a first day total of 327, while Wartburg posted a total of 335.

  • Kelli Groff Named MIAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

    Gustavus senior golfer Kelli Groff was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Golfer of the Week after finishing first at the Wartburg Invitational with a 36-hole score of 74-79–153. Groff also helped the Gusties to the team title at the 11-team invitational tournament.

    The Gustavus women’s golf team began its spring season with an important first place finish at the 11-team Wartburg Invitational in Waverly, Iowa. The Gusties posted a 36-hole total of 313-331—644 to finish six shots ahead of host Wartburg at 322-328—650. Gustie senior Kelli Groff claimed medalist honors with a total of 74-79—153.
