Kelli Groff has been named MIAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

Gustavus senior golfer Kelli Groff (Bloomington, Minn.) was named Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week after finishing first at the Wartburg Invitational. Groff also helped the Gusties to the team title at the 11-team invitational tournament which was held in Waverly, Iowa.

Groff fired rounds of 74-79–153 in a field that consisted of third-ranked St. Thomas, 10th-ranked Wartburg, 18th-ranked Buena Vista and 22nd-ranked Loras. Her scores helped the Gusties take the team title with a two-day total of 644, six shots clear of tournament host Wartburg. It marked Groff’s second win of the season and lowered her stroke average to 79.30.

The Gusties will host Wartburg in another important dual meet this Friday and Saturday at LeSueur Country Club.
