Men’s Swimming and Diving Finishes First at Saint John’s Winter Invitational

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team finished first out of three teams at the Saint John's Winter Invitational in Collegeville on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties won eight individual events and two relays at the meet including a sweep of the top three places in the 200 freestyle, the 200 butterfly, and the 500 freestyle. Matt Stewart led the squad with a trio of first place finishes including the 200 free, the 500 free and the 200 butterfly.

Men’s Swimming Finishes Second At Falcon Invitational

The Gustavus men's swimming team finished second out of nine teams in the red division at the Falcon Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and held at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center in Minneapolis on Saturday. The Gusties recorded 539 points behind Luther College, which tallied 788 points. Josh Seaburg turned in two top-three finishes, including a first-place finish in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:19.90.

Men’s Swimming In Seventh Place After First Day Of Falcon Invitational

The Gustavus men's swimming team is in sixth place out of nine teams at the Falcon Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and held at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center in Minneapolis. Skylar Davis turned in the top performance on the day with a second place finish in the 500-yard freestyle. The meet concludes on Saturday.

Men’s Swimming and Diving Team Finishes First at Saint John’s Triangular, Matt Stewart Wins Three Events

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving squad finished first at the Saint John's Triangular on Saturday with a total of 1255.5 points. South Dakota State University finished second with 831.5 points, followed by host Saint John's in third with 665 points. The Gusties won seven of the 17 events, while also recording five second and six third place finishes.

Men’s Swimming Drops Dual Meet To St. Olaf 119-181

The Gustavus men's swimming team lost its conference dual meet with St. Olaf in Northfield on Saturday afternoon by the score of 181-119. The Gusties won four races in the meet, including two by Matt Stewart. Stewart posted wins in the 100 butterfly (51.45) and the 200 freestyle (1:42.95), while also finishing second in the 100 freestyle (47.84).

Men’s Swimming and Diving Team Wins St. Kate’s Invitational

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving squad finished first out of four teams at the St. Kate's Invitational in St. Paul on Friday night. The Gusties, who won four events and recorded six second place finishes, scored 699.5 points to edge Carleton (656.5) for the title.

Men’s Swimming Drops Dual Meet To MSU, Mankato

The Gustavus men's swimming team opened its 2008-09 dual meet season with a 133-103 loss to Minnesota State University, Mankato in St. Peter on Friday night. Matt Stewart led Gustavus with first place finishes in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly.

Swimming and Diving Programs Set To Participate In Ted Mullin Hour of Power

The Gustavus Adolphus College swimming and diving teams are taking part in the third annual Ted Mullin Hour of Power Relay for cancer research on Thursday, Nov. 6 beginning at 4 p.m. in honor of former Carleton swimmer Edward H. "Ted" Mullin, who passed away from a rare soft-tissue cancer in September 2006.

Men’s Swimming and Diving Finishes 12th At NCAA Championships

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team finished in 12th place with 106 points after the final day of the NCAA Championships hosted by The College of Wooster. The Gusties tallied 100 points for the third consecutive year. Kenyon College won its 30th consecutive national championship with 635 points. Johns Hopkins University finished second with 330 points.

Men’s Swimming and Diving Improve To 14th Place After Second Day Of NCAA Championships

The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team improved to 14th place with 67 points after the second day of the NCAA Championships, which are being hosted by The College of Wooster. Kenyon College remained in first place with 429 points, well ahead of Denison University, which was in second place with 246.5 points.
